2014年9月16日 · This is a very clean and well-marked all-matching Mauser Oberndorf K98k service rifle. It is a "byf 42"-coded rifle with a 1942 production date. It has not been duffle cut and the bore is mint.

2010年1月26日 · Here are my two K98k of Mauser Oberndorf byf 44, 20185, all matching with the exception of the safety lever S/42, 1151k, with some mismatching parts (see post "Bolt correct for S/42")

This is a very good example of a mid-WWII German 98K rifle manufactured by the Mauser Werke in Oberndorf. The receiver ring is marked with the "eagle/135" acceptance proof over "byf/ 42".

Blade and tangent sights, with "byf/42" on top of the receiver ring, "eagle/135" proofs, and "Mod.98" (block letters) on the sidewall. Matching numbers are present on the bolt, floorplate, triggerguard and barrel bands.

4/10/24 - This is an excellent example of a matching and original Nazi Mauser K98 from 1942. Matching numbers on bands, receiver, barrel, bolt, trigger group and adjustable sight. Excellent original bluing aside from where the barrel meets the receiver, as there is some thinning on either side of the rear sight.

11/3/23 - This is a nice example of a BYF 42 Mauser K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching, but some of the small parts are not numbered. The stock is matching-numbered and has the proper waffen proofs. The bluing on the metal parts rates roughly 25% with obvious finish loss and spotty oxidation throughout.
