What do real Spyderco Fans think about Byrd knives?
2017年11月27日 · This is my thinking. I will add that Byrd knives are better made than most Chinese made knives. Except for steel, a person who buys one is still getting good quality. The steel is okay, it is not terrible. However, now some Byrd knives have BD1 steel like the LW Manix 2. I think the Byrd line is an incredible value.

BYRD as transition towards Spydie knives (or NOT) - Spyderco
2023年8月7日 · I have Byrd knives and Spyderco knives. I have a $300 Microtech switchblade and a $15 Mora Companion. As a knife's price increases, you will usually get better fit and finish, fancier and prettier materials, and sometimes more creative and experimental designs that are fun to try. Also, sometimes the higher quality blade steel is useful.
Newbie: Spyderco vs. Byrd - Spyderco Forums
2007年4月4日 · The Byrd line of knives are well made, very well finished, and made from very good materials, all at a more than reasonable price. The main Spyderco line features better blade steels, wider model selection and (in my opinion) more refined designs then the Byrd.

Byrd Gooney - Spyderco Forums
2020年2月20日 · The Byrd line seems to be missing a good utility Wharncliffe blade. Since the CaraCara 2 is 4", it might not make sense to go larger, unless the market is there for it. A 3-3.5" blade, hump-less, Wharncliffe, in a budget line, would be perfect for no-nonsense tradesmen and do-it-yourselfers.
Chinese Spyderco VS Chinese Byrd - Spyderco Forums
2016年4月28日 · I've owned a China-made Spyderco (a Tenacious) & several Byrd knives (a Hawkbill, a plain edge Cara Cara 2 with Emerson wave opener, a combo edge Harrier 2, a serrated Meadowlark 2 Wharncliffe, and a combo edge Meadowlark 2) over the years, and at least from my limited experience, quality and fit-and-finish are pretty comparable, which is to ...

Byrd Finch and Starling comparison - Spyderco Forums
2017年12月23日 · Since I'm a person who's always out looking for good value, I've ended up with Byrd knives before. I work an office job and often find myself in a suit (and in my environment, medium to large knives are often, let's say quite difficult to carry in a European city environment).
