Crockett & Jones, makers of the finest English men's and women's handmade shoes & footwear, was founded in 1879 in Northampton, specialising in the manufacture of high quality, Goodyear-welted handmade leather shoes.

Using only the finest leathers from the leading tanneries of Europe, Crockett & Jones shoes are individually crafted on lasts designed to produce the best possible fitting characteristics. Each pair takes up to eight weeks to manufacture in a labour-intensive process involving over 200 highly skilled operations.

I had some when I was in my twenties, but bought the wrong size - so sold them within a few weeks. This pair of Harvard loafers, which I’ll review today, is therefore my first proper experience of Crockett’s.
