2014年7月13日 · Owner Operators Forums - C15 egr delete - I've got an 04 Pete 379. C15 cat 13 speed. Turned up all the way. How do I delete or bypass the egr and where is it. Will I gain any by doing it. And what could it hurt on my motor. It's a new motor with about 30 k miles on it.

2006年12月8日 · I have a similar problem on my 2004 Cat C15 Acert. It can be described as ticking/tapping sound, sort of like something you could hear if you grabbed a couple of pencils and started rattling them inside an empty mug. I did valve lash adjustment in June 2007 (it's Jan-2008 now) and it seems too early for valves to go out of adjustment.

2009年1月18日 · The truck I bought has both (Cummins and Freedomline) Had 500k miles when I bought it 7 months ago and I have put 80k miles on it. The ISX is ok except the parts are expensive to replace. I replaced the EGR valve and Turbo a few weeks ago and it cost $3800. I get good fuel miles and plenty of power with the ISX

2007年1月28日 · The C16 had a displacement of 15.8 liters whereas the early C15 displaced 14.6 liters. There are now two versions of the C15, a 435 to 550 horsepower version and a 600 to 625 horsepower version. Both displace 15.2 liters.

2007年10月3日 · interesting, I didn't know there was a displacement difference between the c-15(pre 04) and the c15(acert). 14.6 vs 15.2L, respectively. The pre acert C-15 was basically the old 3406 with a new coat of paint.

2007年9月15日 · Stumbled across a T600 that was built in July of 2005. It has a C13 Acert and I know nothing about these engines. Our other engines are a '95 410hpN14, '01 475hp C15, '01 500hp DD60 and they all get around 5 USmpg. Any info on these Acert's is apreciated.

MPG is not so much of an issue, the t2000 that i had before also had a c15-475 cat and fuel economy was good enough. nothing against detroit or cummins though everyone i know that has trucks w/ those engines are ready to bury them at 700k+ whereas that cat that i had was solid even at about 800k.
