2020年10月17日 · I have a 4wd donor frame that I was originally gunna make a truck out of but it's pretty thin and holy. I had the complete 1 ton dually there, running and driving except for brakes. Little rough around the edges. They both share 56" springs in the rear, that was a bonus. So I figured why not swap in in front spring hangers, add a straight axle.

2010年12月14日 · I'm looking to convert my truck to 4 wheel drive. I'm going to buy the fron crossmember, front axle hub to hub, and front springs to start. I was wondering, is there any way to custom make spring holders for the springs that I can weld onto my chassis? Or would it be better to get the mounts from a parts truck like out of the junkyard or something?

2018年3月31日 · Think long and hard if 4WD is really what you want. A 1967 4WD is a totally different truck than 2WD. Also, do some research on prices in your area, but it might be easier to sell your 2WD, and use the cash for a 4WD.

2011年2月15日 · My opinion is, transfer the body to the K20 frame and powertrain. You'll be way ahead of the game doing that. Its been discussed many times on many forums, the 2wd to 4wd conversion is NOT worth the time effort and funds when you'd have to acquire a K frame and suspension anyway to do it.

2012年8月21日 · I've got a 1976 Chevy C20 Suburban 454/400 with what I believe to be 1 ton equipment. I was wondering if it was possible to convert it to 4WD. If so, what kind of front axle, springs, transfer case,etc would I have to scour the Earth for to complete such a task?
