FCA has updated the gear oil recommendation from the information printed in the owner's manual, but only for 3.21/3.55 rear axles. Previously, there was a special gear oil (MS-A0160) for the 3.21/3.55 C235 rear axles on 2017+ Rams which was part #68340460AA.

2020年5月9日 · The 256 RBI “ Max Tow” is only available in an open diff. So if your sure you have anti spin you have the regular C235 with 3.92s. That requires mopar synthetic 75w-140 and 3oz bottle of mopar anti slip additive.

2021年1月1日 · Amsoil,Redline or Penzoil Ultra premium seems to be the consensus for engine oil. I use Amsoil in the engine and diffs. Pennzoil ultra platinum per owners manual and mopar gear oil. For the record I changed my diff oil and it was a waste of money as it looked new and nothing on the magnet. moly additive will quiet the hemi down.

Looks like someone else tried to RTV it, but I'd like to fix it the right way so I want to clean it up and get a new gasket. Felpro lists three or four different 10-bolt rear diff cover gaskets, so I'm not sure which one I actually need.

2020年12月3日 · "Multi Use or multi purpose" gear fluids which is 99% of them on the market today have modifier in them, it is ok to use those in a limited slip or open diff, in fact they are spec'd for both. If for any reason you have shudder on new oil, then you add modifier one ounce at a time til it goes away.
