2005年4月30日 · I quote number 9...I mean, C26 was an entry level MAC pre-amplifier, in late sixties, C28 and later on C27 were something more than a simple improvement... In my McIntosh collection, I own both a C28 and a C27 (considered a C26 evolution), both sound great, even better than C32 (which I own, but don't like too much, owing to its "cold" sound).

2013年11月22日 · Depends on condition I have a c26 and I love it. I am pairing it with a 2105 when it arrives this weekend. They are a good preamp, but can have their issues. Check the volume/power switch for operation. They seem to be a weak link from what I have heard. One thing I do like is the vintage beauty of my C26. Good luck with the purchase.:thmbsp: J.T.

2011年10月10日 · I purchased my C26 used in 1977, I paired it with an MR77 tuner in 1982 and finally found a Mac Power amp an MC2300 in the early 90s. As others have said, send it in to get cleaned and checked up.

2023年3月31日 · Just picked up a Mcintosh C26 from Craigslist. My setup now includes the Mcintosh preamplifier. Decware 2watt tube amplifier, a Bluesound music streamer, And Forte ii speakers. This my first Mac and it pairs well with Decware. All I can say is WOW!!!
