2024年6月24日 · Out of nowhere, my CAC reader suddenly stopped working. The issue will state "No Client Certificate presented". Basically it doesn't seem like the smart card reader wants to engage when it should be doing so when accessing secure sites. When I take the Smart Card reader and connect it to my other computer (a Mac) it works with the card no issues.

2024年7月17日 · Here are additional approaches for the Smart card reader. Press Win + X and select Device Manager. Look for any devices with exclamation marks or under the "Smart card readers" category. Right-click on the smart card reader, select Properties and ensure it shows as working properly. Update drivers if necessary. Also, check the Smart Card Service.

2019年11月6日 · The card reader shows on the computer under Device Manager, it shows on other computers too, and the CAC Card works on other computers. It is not a problem with the card reader, or the card, it is a problem with some settings in this computer. Internet explorer, google chrome, and firefox all fail to see the CAC Card on this computer.

2023年9月21日 · Im US DOD, and my issued DOD CAC was working fine until about 10 days ago, when all installed browsers all the sudden no longer register with a website I have a cac inserted into the system. The way I use my pc has not changed, everything I can think of is the same as before this was a problem.
