In addition to providing the ground special effects to showcase the planes in the air, the EOD frequently sponsor CAF aircraft. The EOD works closely with the Blastards (another technical CAF detachment) to provide ground pyrotechnics for airshows. Please check our calendar frequently as new shows are added. The EOD is charged with, in close coordination with CAF aircraft, to safely conduct demonstrations, using high explosives for the air show audience. Our goal is to safely get a maximum audio and visual effect from the items we have at our disposal.

This instruction implements AFPD 32-30, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, and identifies Air Force Explo-sive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) program requirements. It should be used with AFR 136-8, Interservice Responsibility for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (will be replaced by AFI 32-3002 (I)).
