2019年6月11日 · Commodore created the Commodore-264 series / CBM-264 series to replace the VIC-20 and the C64. The new series included the C16, C116 and Plus/4. Commodore used the 264 series label for three computers: 232 (low-cost version), 264, and 364 (with voice synthesizer for speech output for the first time). The 264 was the base model.

The namesake computer of the 264 Series is almost identical to the sibling that actually made it to market, namely the Plus/4. It has the same amount of RAM, the same keyboard and case, and even shares an identical motherboard, lacking only the 3+1 ROM software to make it a full Plus/4.
