CCD is a Centre of Excellence at IIT Madras, established under the prestigious Institute of Eminence (IoE) initiative by the Government of India’s Ministry of Education. This centre aims to advance research and development in key areas such as post-quantum cryptography, blockchains, secure systems engineering, and encrypted data processing.

Due to the highly challenging nature of designing algorithms that are resilient to Byzantine faults, some of the strongest groups in distributed computing will seek to tackle problems of this nature. Our goal is to make CCD a leading centre in this space.

A postdoctoral position is available in the Cryptography Cybersecurity and Distributed Trust (CCD) group at IIT Madras. The position will be hosted by John Augustine and the work (broadly speaking) will be on secure distributed computing.

Joint degree programs: IIT Madras has joint degree programs with these excellent universities around the world. If you'd like to work in lattice based cryptography, you can consider a joint Ph.D. with us and Dr. Divesh Aggarwal at the National University of Singapore.
