I have a factory installed DVD/CD NAV. When the CD/DVD player is not in use. There is a constant noise as if it is trying to play the disc. This happens with or without a CD/DVD in it. The disks when taken out seem hot. When it is cold outside, the cd player would work for a while and then stop. Now that the weather is warm, it does not work when i start driving, but then after awhile, it seems to cool off and then starts working. The dealership replaced the cd changer once, no good, the problem persists.

The cd player should have 4 screws holding it in place, remove them. Disconnect the radio from the back you will have 3 to 5 connections depending on the model of your Sequoia (Toyota connectors are very easy to connect and disconnect).

I'm hoping one of you will have a brilliant way for me to get this cd out, preferably without damaging it as it is a library CD. Here's what I've tried: Disconnected battery for 30+ min nudged the cd with another cd used a knife wrapped in tape to try to "grab" it used a gift card wrapped in tape to try to "grab" it.

For two months I pondered whether spending all that money to replace the CD changer made sense. But yesterday the changer spit out the stuck CD's just like that. For some reason the fix turned out to be quite simple. The service manager simply pressed the load and eject button simultaneously, and Voila, two CDs came out stuck together.

2006 Touring with stock CD player. It plays the CD fine, but the ejection system goes 'click-click-click) and the display shows "CD out" when in fact it is still in the player. As there isn't a 'manual eject' the CD is stuck. I am reading the forums and this appear to be a common issue. Is there any preventative maintenance I can do in the future?
