The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans.

CDA provides financial social benefits services and financial support to UAE nationals in accordance with the standards and regulations endorsed by CDA and relevant authorities. CDA role is to provide social care services to determined ones, through empowering them.

CDA’s mission focuses on implementing programs and services that benefit UAE Nationals and enhance social harmony across the nation. Their initiatives cover a wide range of areas, including support for Determined Ones and Senior Citizens, Child Protection, and Human Rights advocacy.

The Community Development Authority is responsible for setting up and developing frameworks for social development in Dubai. It aims to attain the goals of the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 and will, in cooperation with concerned bodies, raise the levels of social development in Dubai and enhance the role of nationals in society.
