237C and 210C were F7A engines and both will be converted to CF7 units and released from the shops in four months. 237C - CF7 2453 210C - CF7 2454 Both would be traded to Amtrak for SDP40F engines in Sept 84. Gary

288L became CF7 2432 in November 1977, and 288C became CF7 2459 in May 1977. Even though they came from F9's, these units were still nominally rated at 1500hp and referred to as CF7's. > #237C was an F7 built in 1950. It became CF7 2453 in June 1977. > shop in Cleburne. National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) 575-599 were 1970-78 CF7 locomotives. They were remanufactured in-house by Santa Fe from EMD F7A locomotives originally built between 1939 and 1959. Amtrak acquired them in August-September 1984 from Santa Fe alongside SSB1200 units 550-567, in exchange for 17 SDP40F locomotives.
