2011年1月17日 · The CGE Pro in the observatory. An important consideration for those using the older CGE is that the CGE Pro is 8 inches taller than the old CGE. For some reason the saddle plate knobs are also on the other side of the Pro when compared to the CGE. The Pro mount also comes with only one 22 lb weight. When the CGE Pro arrived, the first thing ...
CGE, CGE-Pro, CGEM, CGEM-DX - Mounts - Cloudy Nights
2015年1月26日 · The newer CGE Pro address this by raising the RA housing on a casting. This of course solves the problem but makes the mount heavier. The other thing that no one mentioned was that the CGE Pro is tool-less. To to assemble the mount and to adjust the azimuth and the latitude on the CGE, you needed two different size hex wrenches.

2014年8月6日 · Yes the CGE Pro has a 90lbs capacity, but the standard CGE has a 65lbs rating which might be true, but the C14 is about the limit I'd want to put on it (for acceptable dampening times). Mike Edited by junomike, 10 August 2014 - 05:57 PM.
CGX-L or CGE Pro? - Mounts - Cloudy Nights
2025年2月6日 · CGX-L or CGE Pro? - posted in Mounts: We currently have a Celestron C14 mounted on a Celestron CGX. It works, but I want to add some accessories - small computer, guide scope/better finder - and the CGX will not support that additional 10 to 15 lbs. We have been looking through the options available to us and find that we can easily acquire a new Celestron CGX-L or a used Celestron CGE-Pro ...
Celestron CGE Pro or Skywatcher EQ-8 - Mounts - Cloudy Nights
2014年6月4日 · Currently, from what I have read on forums, the Celestron and SkyWatcher/Orion literature, reviews, and in the CGE Pro and EQ-8 Yahoo groups, I would tend to pick the CGE Pro over the EQ-8, but the EQ-8 comes in a close second for me (and as I mentioned the LX850 a very, very distant third). 2016年10月13日 · StarSense with CGE Pro in side-by-side mode - posted in Celestron Computerized Telescopes: I am in the process of getting my new CGE Pro setup. I have mounted a 14 EdgeHD SCT alongside a 130mm refractor. I am using a Losmandy DVSBS side-by-side plate in order to accomplish this. The hand control that came with the CGE Pro supports side-by-side mode through the setup option located at Setup ...
CGEM DX vs. CGE PRO? - Cats & Casses - Cloudy Nights
2016年5月26日 · The CGE Pro can be disassembled but that is not what it was designed to do. If it had been, then it would not have been put in a box the way it is. The CGE Pros that I see where they are routinely taken apart are inevitably more beat up as a result with a lot more paint loss, dings and scratches. In addition, the RA/DEC axis separated from the ...
