Cis - and trans -regulations of pre-mRNA splicing by RNA ... - Nature
2020年2月7日 · We unravel a binding tendency of ADARs to dsRNAs that involves GA-rich sequences for editing and splicing regulation. ADAR1 edits an intronic splicing silencer, leading to recruitment of SRSF7 and...
RNA editing underlies genetic risk of common inflammatory diseases
2022年8月3日 · Our findings implicate cellular dsRNA editing and sensing as a previously underappreciated mechanism of common inflammatory diseases. cis-RNA editing quantitative trait loci, which are...
Novel insights into double-stranded RNA-mediated …
2023年9月26日 · Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) products are generated during the replication cycle of DNA and RNA viruses 1, 2. Mammalian cells express multiple innate immune receptors, including...
Cis- and trans-regulations of pre-mRNA splicing by RNA editing ... - PubMed
2020年2月7日 · We also present a mechanism through which ADAR2 binds to dsRNA formed between GA-rich sequences and polypyrimidine (Py)-tract and precludes access of U2AF65 to 3' splice site. Furthermore, we find these ADARs-regulated splicing changes per se influence tumorigenesis, not merely byproducts of ADARs editing and binding.
Cis Regulatory Effects on A-to-I RNA Editing in Related Drosophila ...
2015年4月23日 · We report that cis sequence differences are largely responsible for editing level differences between these two Drosophila species. This study presents evidence for cis sequence and structure changes as the dominant evolutionary force that modulates RNA editing levels between these Drosophila species.
Localization of RNAs in the nucleus: cis- and trans- regulation
In this review, we focus on RNA nuclear retention mainly from the angle of cis -acting elements within the RNA and the trans -acting factors that interact with these elements. We also try to connect nuclear localization of RNA with its function and other processes related to RNA synthesis and processing.
Genetic mapping uncovers cis -regulatory landscape of RNA editing
2015年9月16日 · We apply a quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping approach to identify genetic variants associated with variability in RNA editing. With very accurate measurement of RNA editing levels at 789 sites in 131 Drosophila melanogaster strains, here we identify 545 editing QTLs (edQTLs) associated with differences in RNA editing.
Visualizing double-stranded RNA distribution and dynamics in …
2015年11月1日 · Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) is the duplex type of RNA that plays essential roles in diverse biological processes such as viral replication, RNA silencing, viral infection recognition, RNA editing, processing and transport (Jacobs and Langland, 1996). dsRNA may be formed in trans by pairing of two complementary RNA molecules or small RNAs ...
Cis- and Trans-Encoded Small Regulatory RNAs in Bacillus subtilis
2021年9月2日 · Here, we provide an overview of currently known cis- and trans-encoded sRNAs from B. subtilis with known targets and defined regulatory mechanisms and on the potential role of RNA chaperones that are or might be required to facilitate sRNA regulation in this important Gram-positive model organism.
Efficient circularization of protein-encoding RNAs via a novel cis ...
2024年8月20日 · In our cis-splicing system, the precursor can complete the two-step circularization reaction in the absence of P10, but reintroduction of the P10 duplex significantly improves efficiency. These studies also demonstrate that while the presence of P10 is not obligatory, it plays a role in improving splicing reaction efficiency.
