Five CN locomotives yard their very long train, using two tracks to do so, while a yard engine idles next to them. CN SD75I #5642 and CN SD40-3 #5945 lead a Westbound Manifest over the IC bridge. We were surprised to see two trains on the Freeport line, as it is not very busy. CN 5642 blasts through Durand with a mixed freight.

Canadian National Railway coaches 5437-5654 were built between January and July 1954 by Canadian Car and Foundry. A total of 218 cars were built and were known as 'E-M' cars by CN as they did not have ice bunkers. A large number of these cars were rebuilt over the years and by 1978 VIA Rail Canada inherited 216 of them in various forms.
