GP20's may have been a little more common elsewhere, relatively speaking, since how many were still in service at this late date of 2/10/1984.

Built between November 1959 and April 1962, the GP-20 produced 2,000hp through it's turbocharged 567D2 prime mover.

Interestingly, it was inspired by Union Pacific's efforts to turbocharge the 567 prime mover. It was also the first road-switcher offered with a standard low nose/hood, designed to provide crews greater forward visibility.
