2025年1月30日 · New Delhi: Gyanendra Pratap Singh, a 1991-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has officially taken charge as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Thursday. Prior to this appointment, Singh was serving as the Director General of Police (DGP) in Assam.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is a central armed police force in India under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The CRPF assists states and Union Territories in maintaining law and order and internal security. It is composed of the Central Reserve Police Force and Central Reserve Police Force .
