These Concrete Surface Profiles were developed by the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), are divided into ten classifications (CSP 1-10) of surface textures based on the average distance from the peaks of the surface to the valleys. They are accepted industry standards to help guide the installer
Concrete Surface Prep Part 3: Grades of Roughness - Graco Inc.
The best practice for obtaining a clearly defined target surface profile is to create a job standard. Working with the other stakeholders, develop a surface profile close to the specified CSP as indicated by the comparator. When everyone agrees on the job standard, that becomes the abrasive blaster’s benchmark.
Use this guide to identify the surface profile of your concrete. CSP 1 being the indicator for a nearly smooth floor and CSP 10 indicative of an extremely rough floor. The range of variation will depend on strength, composition, aggregate and finish. CSP 1-4 not recommended with cement based products. Ideal Applications
What is Concrete Surface Profile (CSP)? - National Flooring …
Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) refers to the texture or roughness of a concrete surface. It is an important measure in the preparation of concrete surfaces for the application of coatings, sealants, or overlays.
These Concrete Surface Profiles were developed by the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), are divided into ten classifications (CSP 1-10) of surface textures based on the average distance from the peaks of the surface to the valleys.
Surface Prep Guide - Sika USA
The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) Guideline No. 310.2 (formerly 03732) has defined nine different guidelines for proper surface preparation, known as Concrete Surface Profile (CSP), and has developed profile replica blocks to give a …
ICRI CONCRETE SURFACE PROFILE CHIPS - DeFelsko
The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) produces 10 distinct concrete profiles formed by various surface preparation methods. Each profile carries a CSP number ranging from CSP 1 (nearly flat) to CSP 10 (very rough; amplitude greater than ¼” [6 mm]).
Concrete Surface Profiles (CSP): The Key to Durable Concrete …
Concrete Surface Profiles (CSP) are vital for achieving the desired performance and aesthetics in concrete surfaces. Choosing the right CSP level is crucial for each application, whether it’s a polished floor, a coating system, or an industrial surface.
Concrete Surface Profile Made Easy: A Comprehensive Step
2023年7月25日 · The concrete surface profile is key to achieving strong adhesion between the substrate and the applied material. The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) has developed the Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) scale as a measure of surface roughness. This scale ranges from CSP 1 (nearly flat) to CSP 10 (very rough).
This guideline provides concrete surface profiles of CSP 3 to 9 which are used under the following conditions. For coating applications from 4–5 mils in thickness, the surface profile shall be a CSP 3. This is known as a light shotblast. For coating applications from 15–50 mils in thickness, the surface profile shall be a CSP 4 or 5.
