For your beneficiary’s Individual/Family Savings Plans, the projected value tells you how much your plans may be worth on August 31st, of the year your beneficiary turns 18. Can my beneficiary/student only get the funds from CST™ Advantage Plan (or Group Savings Plan) if he/she is enrolled in a 4-year university program? What is an EAP? What happens if the beneficiary switches to another program at the same university?

Yes. You can switch your CST TM Advantage Plan to another CST RESP (Individual Savings Plan or Family Savings Plan) or to another RESP company. Please note that in transferring to another RESP company, you will forfeit your sales charges and income earned.

A unit applies to the CST™ Advantage Plan and other CST Group Plans. It represents your child’s proportionate share of the Education Assistance Payment (EAP) account. The number of units you have in your Plan depends on how much, how often and for how many years you contribute.
