In February of 2019, CSX Transportation donated this historic caboose (in its full original 1980 paint job) to Operation Toy Train. It was moved to Port Jervis, NY on March 7, 2022 and subsequently renumbered to No. 1225.

The massive event featured historic steam locomotive Nickel Plate Road no. 765 and Pere Marquette no. 1225 operating in tandem service to the delight of thousands along the way. Thanks to Steven Heister for the footage!

It pulled 31 passenger cars at speed running right beside Nickel Plate 765 and doubleheaded with it as well. 1225 was the Prototype in the animated movie "Polar Express". It has been pulling many excursions in Michigan during the last few years, and is planned to pull some this year.
