CSX 2402, former B&O 7403 SD35 (blt. 7/1964) and CSX 5552, former Chessie 8270 (blt. 1/1980) having been resting for the last 4 years (or so) in Essington. These two abandoned CSX units are located in an industrial park off of Jansen Ave in Essington, PA.

All five of the original SD20-2 units were originally equipped with slug units when they served the Queensgate Yard in Cincinnati long before eventually serving as local or branchline units up until retirement by CSX. Ironically, CSX #2404 was involved in a side-swipe and had its cab rebuilt, yet was originally intended for scrapping.

What is the heritage of CSX 2402? References are not clear. Was it originally B&O, L&N or another road?

CSX SD20-2 2402 was officially retired on 1-28. Last used as a MofW unit she was still servicable but the decision was made to retire the former SD35 which was built in 1964 and rebuilt to SD38 specs for hump service in 1980.
