Ex-SOO SD60 no. 6014, now owned by CIT (CEFX), at Lincoln, Nebraska in October 2014. The EMD SD60 is a 3,800 horsepower (2,800 kW), six-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, intended for heavy-duty drag freight or medium-speed freight service. It was introduced in 1984, and production ran until 1995.

In the thread below about SD80MAC's, I was reminded that CSX had gone sour on EMD with the SD50, and only ordered 10 SD60's of their own. (8700-8709 IIRC.) So, this question: What does CSX, and their Train Service employees, think of the ex-CR SD60's and SD60M/I's?

In January 1989 General Motors introduced the SD60M. It was their first US locomotive to feature a comfort/safety cab, commonly called a "wide-cab" by railfans. Union Pacific took delivery of the first units, followed by Soo Line and Burlington Northern. All these units had the 3-window version.

Included in an EMD advert promoting their then-new SD60M, EMD showed off an artist rendition CSX scheme applied. This was most likely done to help generate sales as CSX ordered 10 SD60’s in 1989.
