CUE Art presents The Bride Has Gone to Pick Flowers, a group exhibition curated by Lila Nazemian with works by Levon Kafafian, Fatemeh Kazemi, and Levani. The exhibition considers marriage rituals from the Caucasus. Each artist employs alter egos as a vehicle for exploring and reinterpreting inherited practices.

CUE’s annual open call provides emerging and underrepresented artists and curators the opportunity and resources to present an exhibition at CUE’s ground floor gallery space on West 25th Street in Manhattan, New York City.

Founded in 2003, CUE was established with the purpose of presenting a wide range of artist work from many different contexts. Since its inception, the organization has supported artists who experiment and take risks that challenge public perceptions, as well as those whose work has been less visible in commercial and institutional venues.
