2011年1月22日 · You'd need an HT that can receive SSB, any AM/FM mode won't be suitable. There's really no workaround, you could use the S-meter to detect a CW signal, but they'd have to send, like QRSS-slow!

It wasn’t long before we combined our ideas and created a simple device that could be used with just about any hand-held transceiver (H-T). It’s basically an audio oscillator and keying circuit that allows you to send MCW—modulated CW. This is nothing more than audio tones keyed on and off and fed to your transceiver’s microphone jack.

There was talk between the CW operators at the club to have some CW practice sessions or a CW Net on 2M FM. We will probable never do that (for several reasons) but the idea of converting a ham radio HT into a CW transceiver was an interesting thought project.

2025年1月18日 · There is no CW mode position on the SX-117, and when trying to transceive on CW, your signal ends up on the exact same frequency as you're listening to and someone you're calling won't hear you. The solution involves offsetting the SX-117 VFO frequency by an amount equal to the audio frequency you prefer to listen to on CW.

A Baofeng is an FM only receiver. Or is it? Today I'll team it up with a Nano VNA to receive CW, SSB and even WSPR signals.
