If there is nothing else that could have caused the markers to rise eg an illness or infection with fever, go get it checked properly with a scan. 2024年12月23日 · For me, the imaging is the lagging indicator and CA19-9 is the leading indicator that cancer may be processing (though it can be due to inflammation also). Images lagging in MY case as it takes awhile, relative to growth, what one can see in an image. CA19-9 is an antigen, I believe; so its specifics differ according to internal responses.

2024年2月7日 · I’ve done a little reading to see general thoughts on prognosis with really high pre treatment CA19-9 levels. The highest I have seen was an optimal cutoff pre operatively/pre treatment for survival greater than 1 year is less than 338.45.

2025年3月8日 · Thank you scooter369. Dan is currently on gem/abrax... just finished his fifth of series of three/month. He was on folfironox before that until CA19-9 numbers started climbing, showing resistance to the drugs. Problem is, if there now is resistance to his current regimen, then I'm not sure what the next option is. I guess talk to them about trials.

2023年9月30日 · I was diagnosed in 2023. My CA19-9 was over 9000. I did three months of chemo and had the tumor removed in January 2024. The pathology report showed everything was clear. My surgeon wanted me to do 3 more months of chemo also. Two months after surgery before I started chemo my CA 19–9 was 1800 which was concerning that soon after the surgery.
