In Greek mythology, the Cabeiri or Cabiri / k ə ˈ b aɪ r iː / [1] (Ancient Greek: Κάβειροι, Kábeiroi), also transliterated Kabeiri or Kabiri, [2] were a group of enigmatic chthonic deities.

Cabeiri, important group of deities, possibly of Pelasgian or Phrygian origin, worshiped over much of Asia Minor, on the islands nearby, and in Macedonia and northern and central Greece. They were promoters of fertility and protectors of seafarers.

The Cabeiri were two ancient Greek gods, twins, who presided over the orgiastic dances of the mysteries of Samothrace which were held in honour of the goddesses Demeter, Persephone, and Hecate. They were famed metal-workers, dwarfish sons of the god Hephaestus, who served their father at his Lemnian forge.

The Kabeiroi (ancient Greek Κάβειροι, Kabeiroi), also known as Cabeiroi and Cabeiri, is an ancient Greek tragedy by Aeschylus which survives in three fragments.
