The estate of Cambo was first occupied by John De Cambo who, it is thought, received it as a Norman land grant from the King in the 12th or 13th century. It was acquired by the Lindsays at some point and then sold to Thomas Merton in 1620.

Cambo has a range of venues for every type of wedding, from the grandeur of the function rooms in the house to the natural beauty of our woodlands. With extensive accommodation on site and no curfew on our inner courtyard space, Cambo is an excellent choice to bring people together for an unforgettable wedding experience.

In more recent years we have added a heat pump for Cambo House (which draws its heat from the Cambo Burn) to replace the old oil boiler, and hosted new Off Grid accommodation units powered by solar panels.
