2001年9月4日 · Originally opened in 1926 as a scout camp it was one of Greenbar Bills Favorite camps. Once operated by Dan Beard Council, all activities at Camp Hook have been canceled and the camp is no longer available to Scouts as of the beginning of 1997. Camp Hook is now part of the Twin Creek MetroPark under the auspices of Dayton MetroParks system.

A sapling of one of the English Oaks was brought back from Gilwell Park and planted at Camp Hook to signify the ties between Scouting in the US and the worldwide movement. In June, 1986, Camp Hook hosted EC 336 X, an experimental Wood Badge Course directed by William Hillcourt.

Trails can get muddy depending on the weather, so follow the the Scout Motto and "Be Prepared!" 2023年8月25日 · Closely related to Troop 18 is BSA Camp Hook which originally opened in 1926 as a scout camp and operated by Dan Beard Council until 1997. Now Camp Hook is Twin-Creek Metro Park. Mr. Everett W. Sherron published A History of Boy Scout Camp Hook which can be downloaded here.
