2020年12月13日 · RMAX4 better on the tight trails than the Commander Max. Skid plates are light years ahead of the tissue paper plastic skids on the Commander. No more grinding gears because of the Commander's crappy shifter. The RMAX has the best shifter in the business. You really need to go test drive one.

That was mostly due to the Commander’s Smart-Lok front differential, which requires almost a full revolution of the front tire before engaging.

2020年9月18日 · The commander forum came up with many attempts to quiet down the rear diff. After 4 to 6 different versions of the visco-lock were tried those two things made for some unhappy owners. The X3 and the Maverick seem to be very popular and perhaps that was part of the reason for less interest in the commander. It is good news about an update.

2018年1月22日 · Even so, as a general matter, Yamaha is more reliable. You’re also correct about working on them, the can am is more difficult but after you’re around them a bit, it becomes second nature. I do think the x3, defender and maverick trail is more user-maintenance friendly than the commander. Keep in mind, the commander is a 7 year old design.
