CVSR offers a variety of trips throughout the year. It operates excursion trains, and in a partnership with the NPS, the railroad helps visitors access various parts of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The CVSR also co-operates with Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway (WLE) to operate on trackage south to Canton. [9]

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) operates trains 12 months of the year, offering alternative transportation in the national park as well as a ‘Bike Aboard!’ service for bicyclists on the Towpath Trail.

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR, which actually runs all the way from Canton to Rockside via Akron & the Canal Visitor Centre) began operations as a tourist line in 1972 on a section of former Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) track that runs through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio.

The CVSR runs through Ohio's only National Park, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, from Cleveland to Akron and Canton. A variety of excursions are offered year-round and each trip is a different adventure filled with fun, history and beautiful scenery.
