Alfons Maria Stickler SDB (23 August 1910 – 12 December 2007) was an Austrian cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Archivist and Librarian of the Holy Roman Church from 1985 to 1988. Stickler was elevated to the cardinalate in 1985, and was the oldest member of the College of Cardinals.

Cardinal Alfons Stickler is prefect emeritus of the Vatican library and archives. He served as a specialist, a peritus, on the Liturgy Commission of the Second Vatican Council. He was elevated to the college of cardinals by Pope John Paul II in 1985.

Cardinal Alfons Maria Stickler, S.D.B. Librarian and Archivist emeritus of the Holy Roman Church, was born on 23 August 1910 in Neunkirchen, archdiocese of Vienna (Austria). Joined the Pious Society of St. Francis de Sales (Salesians of Don Bosco) and made his first religious profession on 15 August 1928.
