Carlo (or Carlino) Dolci (25 May 1616 – 17 January 1686) was an Italian Baroque painter, active mainly in Florence, known for highly finished religious pictures, often repeated in many versions.

Carlo Dolci (born May 25, 1616, Florence [Italy]—died Jan. 17, 1687, Florence) was an Italian painter, one of the last representatives of the Florentine school of Baroque painting, whose mainly devotional works are characterized by their oversweet and languid piety.

Archival documents show that at the age of 16, in 1632, Dolci was supervising his own workshop. When other Florentine artists relocated to Rome, the center of Baroque painting, Dolci stayed in Tuscany and developed his style from traditional Florentine painting. Don Lorenzo de’ Medici noticed Dolci’s talent and employed the young artist.
