Have a measurement, it's 40 sq. yard more than other company's estimate for 4 bedrooms, a bonus room and 22 steps. Got a second company and request another measurement from Home Depot, it's 21 sq. yard different.

2011年3月21日 · Years ago we had a house with those same doors. The original carpet when we moved in was a very thick orange shag. We tore it out and re did the oak floors. The result was stunning however our doors looked like yours. A huge gap. It really bugged me. We replaced all the interior doors with white embossed.

I'm willing to go with the assumption that carpet stores in general don't necessarily get many good reviews posted online even if they're doing a great job, so I figure I'd see if anyone here has personal experiences with them. 2008年11月30日 · Carpet pad is not about thickness.....it's about density. A 1" thick styrofoam pad is useless. The denser the pad, the more resistance there is to compression. You didn't say what type of carpet you are buying. Berber Bond pad is a 3/8' thickness, but weighs in at just under 8 lbs.(like, 7.6 lbs., or close to that.

2012年7月28日 · Co-worker bought carpet at and a hired an installer through Home Depot. Later (don't know if it was a number of years or not) he sought out buying more of that same carpet to carpet his upstairs space. Went back to Home Depot, found the same carpet, ordered it and hired a contractor once again to install it. This second order was in December 2011.

2009年5月1日 · My in-laws do this every six months. Their carpet is 24 years old and looks almost brand new - it definitely helped with the upkeep. However, I read somewhere that if those stains are due to stuff that has gotten through to the padding, you might be "restaining" the carpet by pulling that dirty water up through the fibers.
