I am a US-born, UK-based writer with a large obsession about small islands, which led me to write my first book – Empire’s Crossroads: A History of the Caribbean from Columbus to the Present Day, published by Pan Macmillan in the UK and Grove/Atlantic in the United States.

Carrie Gibson is a British author and historian focusing on the Spanish Caribbean in the era of the Haitian Revolution. They earned their PhD from Cambridge University.
