2018年8月25日 · the Case 450 is a good light dozer, it has a power shift transmission with 8 speeds, 4 lo and 4 hi, so no steering clutches. I like the diesel engine better for torque and longevity. The 450B is a better choice because it has a bigger engine, a 207 as opposed to the 188 in the older ones.

2023年4月27日 · I’m changing the transmission oil in the Case 450C I just bought. The existing oil is a suspicious gold color and looks like no tractor transmission fluid I’ve ever seen. I’ve read the recommendations to use TCH but I can’t buy it locally unless the dealer special orders it and he says TCH will be phased out eventually.

2020年9月9日 · The oil that goes in the 450 is Case TCH which has changed to Hy-Tran Ultra you can get it at your local Case dealer. There are other off brand oil but you have to be careful of what you get. Some oils will dry your cylinder seals out and shorten their life. Check your classification numbers on the bucket. An AW46 classification is good.

2012年1月18日 · The 450C's I ran, had the standard case configuration, shorter lever to the left ran f-n-r, forward being pushed forward, neutral in the middle, reverse pulled toward you, ( don't hit your nuts). The two levers of the same height, in the middle, side by side controlled each track, left for left, right for right.

2020年9月4日 · Just bought a set of replacement track chains (rails) and sprockets for my Case 550 LT Dozer. They are the same chains and sprockets that are used on a 450C Long Track Dozer with 39 links instead of the 36 on a standard 450C but except for the number of links everything else is the same.

2009年9月16日 · 188 & 207 case diesels are twin siters, only difference was the head. They were in alot of older case equipment. 580's, 586's, 1845's, 350 & 450 dozers, w-7 wheel loaders I think...

2009年4月27日 · The 450 is a good dozer for fine grading, golf course work, residential grading. The 450c had a bit more power but still just for fine grading. Either way no 450 would be a match for the limestone and rock you're talking about. If you want just a dozer I would be looking at one in the 160 - 200Hp range with a ripper.
