2019年7月24日 · - Cat had a joystick recall on this machine and it was not done before I got it. I have replaced the left (drive) joystick and had dealer calibrate it. - I have codes 2687-8, 2688-8, 2685-8, 2686-8...Left & right side sensors. But like I said, it does not always throw a code on me.

2022年10月25日 · Nige, that letter doesn't call out a 256C. I stole the schematic from a 262D, which may be the issue. The 256C uses a 266-2432, which is indeed replaced by the 480-8589, requiring a wiring update.

2009年11月12日 · 256c I have one, and contrary to the above post, it's a great machine. However you really need to have the AMICS control panel on the machine to get full use of the capability. The AMICS panel is on the top right of the cab, and it allows you to select loader response, drive response, creeper speed, etc.

2022年11月10日 · I just got a 2010 cat 246c 2 speed. When i flip aux7 switch to rabbit mode nothing happens. I get no light on the gauge cluster. I looked in the fuse panel behind the seat and could not find a fuse for rabbit mode. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks

2016年4月15日 · Bough a 2008 cat 256C that someone stole the motor, cut the wiring harness behind motor. Found a 3054 power unit motor on a skid. Could use an electrical skematic to try and hook wiring to motor. Serial number of 256c is 0256CEDWS00737 The motor I want to put in is 3054C, arrangement 231-0179, serial no. 334019 made in UK Hope you can help Joepeas

2022年12月18日 · Hmm. Thanks for the info. Seems as though Cat has us by the short hairs by not offering the switch as a separate part. My 257b requires that you maintain a bit of pressure on the thumb wheel to get it to center. Otherwise, the grapple wont stay open or bogs the engine when closed. Quite annoying.
