Sound deadening with mass-loaded vinyl & closed-cell foam - CorvetteForum
2011年2月26日 · For anyone thinking about installing a full sound system, I would strongly, strongly recommend spending a few hundred bucks on mass loaded vinyl and closed cell foam in addition the standard sound deadening. The difference with MLV/CCF in the door panels and rear hatch compared to sound deadening only is incredible.
sound deadening, ccf and mlv. what are they all for
2013年2月25日 · CCF is going to be your best bet. It works better stacked on top of deadener, but deadener is heavier. CCF is lightweight. You could add 100 sq. ft. and still easily be under 50 lbs. added. This is for treble treatment mostly. It's most effective in the 12kHz+ frequencies.
MLV and CCF worth the time and effort? : r/CarAV - Reddit

Sound Deadening HELP!! MLV and CCF? - CarAudio.com Car Audio Forum
2013年1月6日 · MLV requires an isolating layer to work as a noise barrier. If there isn't a layer to decouple the MLV from the panel it will transmit the noise by way of vibrations. Sound Deadening - CCF/MLV Passenger Rear Wheel Well
2018年1月11日 · I've made a little progress on my sound deadening project. Specifically, I've "wrapped" my passenger wheel well with CCF stuck to MLV. MLV faces out; CCF faces existing, stock foam padding. Ultimately, I used (6) pieces of the combined CCF/MLV. Two approximately triangular shaped pieces reach up into the "outside portion of the wheel well.

2018年12月16日 · Back in the summer of 2017 I wanted to test a common rule of thumb: mass loaded vinyl should always be decoupled from nearby surfaces, and closed cell foam is the right material to do it. Many of you kindly donated materials for this experiment and I am very, very thankful for it. I am thrilled to finally finish and post the results.
