  1. Revolver, cheap but reliable | Shooters Forum

2011年4月5日 · Hi Friends, I've been looking for a cheap (but reliable) revolver to carry in the car, tackle box, beat around, etc. Something that if it were stolen, dropped in the lake, etc. I wouldn't be out $400 - $800. I had come to the realization that there weren't any cheap revolvers until I …

  2. .44 Mag Load? - Shooters Forum

2007年2月16日 · We won't mention any names, but there was a guy on another site who was buying cheap revolvers at gun shows and then loading them up until the gun failed. Usually the frame would break before the gun blew apart -- but the guy fails to understand that structural failure in steel can develop over the course of several stressors.

  3. barrel liners for open top colt style revolvers - Shooters Forum

2015年2月28日 · Any one know if there are barrel reliner's made for the colt or replica open top revolvers? My Uberti 1851 is shot out and I am looking to repair it on the cheap. Any thought's on installing a 1873 barrel anyone. If doable, I want to make it able to shoot .45 bullits. Jacketed and harder lead bullits. Have reamed the cylinder to .452.

  4. Crisco for loading Cap'n ball revolvers - Shooters Forum

2018年3月25日 · I've been using Crisco lard exclusively in my C&B revolvers (a Ruger ROA & a couple of repro 1860's) for over 30 years, and wouldn't change a thing. As stated above, just seat the ball & spread the Crisco into the chamber with a popsicle stick until the chamber mouth is filled flush with the face of the cylinder.

  5. Eaa Bounty Hunter Revolvers..good Guns? - Shooters Forum

2004年4月9日 · Also, I've seen revolvers that "short-stroke", so that the bolt doesn't engage the cylinder notch until the trigger is pulled and the hammer is "on its way down". BTW, this short-stroking phenomenon could be evidenced by cocking slowly, but when fast-cocked, it …

  6. Seeking non-existent cylinder - Shooters Forum

2003年11月14日 · I back up Ribbonstone's comment. I just checked with my 2003 Standard Catalog of Firearms. All the 600 series revolvers made by H&R were of a 6-shot design only. They were offered in .22 lr and .22WMR. The 900 series of revolvers (hence your 949) were of a 9-shot cylinder design and offered in .22lr (+ long & short) only.

  7. Hardware Store Shotguns - Shooters Forum

2015年5月11日 · Those and trainloads of cheap "suicide special" revolvers were their main profit centers. In Vorisek's "Fifty Years of Gunmaking" is a list of the names they sold under - it's several pages long. From the 1870s to 1896, all their products were marketed by the New York firm of Merwin and Hulbert, who were mainly wholesalers, selling in case lots ...

  8. good *cheap* powder for reloading full power 44Mags with...

2024年7月2日 · The case is longer to prevent accidentally chambering a 44 Magnum pressure round in a light frame 44 Special revolvers that can't handle the pressure. But this means you can just look up 44 Special loads with a 240-grain lead bullet and use them as your target loads in the 44 Magnum cases.

  9. contender vs revolver for whitetail? - Shooters Forum

2011年12月3日 · I hunt with 357, 30 herret, 44 mag, and 375 Contenders. Great. I also have hunted deer with the 41, 44, and 357 revolvers. I like the 41 best for deer, in the modle 57 or 657. Of you choices I'd strongly advise the 44 contender, great gun. Yep, you can easily change to another cartridge for about $200, new barrel at gun shows.

  10. Ruger Revolver Fit and Finish. | Shooters Forum

2018年10月21日 · The internet is loaded with complaints, but Ruger sells a lot of revolvers, and not everyone is unhappy. And, Ruger by most accounts, is pretty good at patching up any real issues. Having handled and shot a few different SA's from different sources, Ruger probably makes the most durable revolver per dollar.
