2021年8月7日 · An Eco–Drive was the first watch ever to comply with the Eco Mark certification, introduced by the Japanese Environment Association (JEA); in 2014 Citizen was the first watch manufacturer to win the JEA‘s Eco Mark Gold Award.

Eco-Drive is a model range of watches manufactured and marketed worldwide by Citizen Watch Co., Ltd., powered primarily by light. As of 2007, the company estimated the drive system had eliminated the disposal of ten million batteries in North America.

The watch boasted water resistance for saturation diving down to 1,000 meters with a solar-powered Eco-Drive movement. This 2016 release was dedicated to the professional divers as a perfect tool watch.

I've heard reports on WUS of eco-drives dying after 10 years while other report their 15 year old watches still going strong. What I do know is Citizen has very good customer service.

2022年5月17日 · Recently, Citizen released an Eco-Drive version of the 1300 Meter Pro Diver, which retains the four flanges, but now has a depth rating of 200 meters. At 47mm across, it's actually slightly smaller than the original, and the crown's now on the right, although the most significant change is to the movement.
