Clare C. Yu is an American theoretical biophysicist and condensed matter physicist. She is Professor of Physics and Astronomy in the School of Physical Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).

Clare Yu is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Aspen Center for Physics and a Chancellor’s Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Irvine. She received her Ph.D. in Physics at Princeton University and did postdoctoral work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
