2023年1月12日 · Alstom has been awarded a £12 million contract carry out mileage-based modernisation of ScotRail’s Class 334 fleet, owned by Eversholt Rail. The project will start in January 2024 at Polmadie depot in Glasgow.

A total of 40 units were built for use on Glasgow suburban services and replaced the aging Class 303 “Blue Train” units which had been in service since 1960. Originally the units operated the Ayrshire Coast, Inverclyde, Argyle and North Clyde services.
