The British Rail Class 465 Networker is a class of 147 electric multiple units built by Metro-Cammell, British Rail Engineering Limited (BREL) and ABB Rail between 1991 and 1994. Originally operated by Network SouthEast, [8] these units are now run by Southeastern.

The Class 465 is a four-car EMU, powered from 750 V DC third rail. They were built by British Rail Engineering Limited (465/0), ABB (465/1), and Metro Cammell (465/2) in slightly different versions.

The British Rail Class 465 "Networker" electric multiple units were made by Metro Cammell and BREL. It was made from 1991 to 1994. They were operated by Network South East in 1991, [8] They're now operated by Southeastern. They are mostly used on suburban routes serving the South East of England.

Some 465/2's were refurbished in 2005 and converted to 465/9's. The rest of the sub class are in storage. Other sub classes were refurbished between 2010 and 2016.

The Class 465 was built in the early 1990s to replace ageing Mark 1 based electric multiple units (EMUs) such as the Class 415 on Kent suburban routes. The replacement of this old stock was seen as a priority in the late 1980s by the then-new Network South East sector of British Rail.
