2019年7月30日 · These lovely new Class 755 trains are built by the Swiss train manufacturer, Stadler, and are called FLIRT – which stands for ‘Fast Light Intercity (and) Regional Train’. Greater Anglia have ordered 38 to replace Class 153, 156 and 170 trains. Twenty-four sets have four coaches and the other fourteen are three coaches long.

Designated Class 755, the 24 four-car (Class 755/4) and 14 three-car (Class 755/3) BMUs (bi-mode units) will replace all the current DMUs in the operator’s fleet. GA has 24 four-car and 14 three-car BMUs on order from the Swiss manufacturer. They will enter traffic from next summer, when GA expects to have around 20 Class 755s in the UK.
