The Class 7c Incentive – Commercial Urban Relief Eligibility (CURE) of the Cook County Real Property Assessment Classification Ordinance ("Ordinance") is intended to encourage commercial projects which would not be economically feasible without assistance.

Class 7c Annual Affidavit Class 7d "Food Desert" incentive which is intended to encourage the operation of grocery stores in areas where it would not be economically feasible with assistance.

The Class 7(c) Commercial Urban Eligibility (CURE) program offers real estate tax incentives for commercial properties regardless of where they are located. Qualifying properties can receive a five-year reduction in real estate assessments from the standard Cook County commercial rate of 25 percent with no minimum investment required.

Class 6 (b), Class 7 (a), Class 7 (b), Class 7 (c) and Class 8 incentives lower property tax burdens for new and expanding businesses. For qualifying projects, rates can be lowered by more than 50 percent for up to 12 years.
