2020年6月30日 · The deli section is in a different area of the store. But, there was a whole shelf in the meats section that was empty and the tags on that shelf was for Claussen Pickles so I know I was looking in the right place. I just thought it odd that there were plenty of other pickles (on the regular store shelves) and no Claussen pickles.

Hahaha. Yeahh that's how all these specific subs are. People like to put things on pillars as high as olympus but you gotta take everything with a grain of salt. I like claussen pickles a lot and I think Grillos are mid and that opinion would give some of the people in this sub a heartattack.

2019年7月12日 · I have been working on this for a few years and have gotten to a point where I consider it done. I have seen Clausen pickles come up a few times in the last few weeks so I though I would share my copycat recipe. A couple of notes: Clausen pickles have a pH of 6.8 - 7.0 according to my cheap pH meter. This means there is very little vinegar.

Lifelong Claussen loyalist here- they were my gateway pickle into a lifelong pickle love affair & are still my go to brand. HOWEVER, I have noticed a real change in quality in the last few months. Had several jars that were inedibly salty (and I like salty), as well as texture issues with rubbery skins and mushy middles.

2022年9月7日 · Strange, but I love pickles but not cucumber. Clausen and others verge to closely to raw cukes for me to love them. I like My Olive Kosher petite dills specifically. Gonna try there kosher dills and see if they're just bigger. The super crunchiness in the KPDs is 40% of my adoration. Lotsa pickles are too raw-ish or too soggy and soft.

2020年11月25日 · well, they are kept refrigerated. Maybe pouring hot brine over pickles doesn't count as "heating?" As far as commercially canned pickles, claussen are my favorite, (I hate mushy pickles) but we've been making a reasonable facsimile refrigerator pickle for the last few years that does involve hot brine over cold pickles.
