2008年10月8日 · I had no idea I had clonus until I went to the doctor after tripping (very clumsy) and tearing a ligament. I told him about my hip pain as an afterthought and he decided to do several tests on me. He was very captivated by my "clonus" and kept doing tests and ultimately sent me for an MRI.

2013年8月28日 · Clonus does not occur on it's own. It has to be triggered in some manner, like a strike on a reflex point. There is a You Tube video demonstrating clonus... any Neurologist who may have watched it is smiling from ear to ear. Clonus is not a definitive sign of PLS but can be present...equally as rare as the disease itself.

2017年11月2日 · I’ve never heard the term “subclonus”. Clonus can be unsustained (a few beats) or sustained. Up to a few beats of clonus can be within the realm of normal as can “brisk” reflexes. Sometimes the two go together. Sustained clonus is considered an upper motor neuron sign and can be seen in some people with ALS and PLS.

2023年3月30日 · He identified clonus in both feet and has now referred me to a neuro. He found no other symptoms (no muscle loss etc), and I’ve not experienced any other symptoms besides the above. However as he indicated that clonus and hypereflexes (which I had in both legs) was abnormal and was a sign of an UMN issue, I am now terrified.

2019年3月18日 · September 2019: today neuro exam: brisk reflexes, bilateral Sterling sign and ankle clonus (3-4 beats L and 1-2 beats R). No Babinski, muscle strength ok, no other abnormalities. Control in six months. I didn't notice any weaknesses. I can easily do all everyday activities. I'm worried about clonus and the intensity of fasciculations.
