Cab-coach 154 is a good model of the 1960 cab cars (they fixed the striping issue from the earlier HO models) but these were purely commuter cars, never (or exceedingly rarely) used on the intercity "400"s. C&NW 151 is a bi-level coach/cab car designed for commuter service out of Chicago. It is a “cab car” because there is a cab on the upper level for the engineer from which he can run the train.

2024年1月11日 · The Illinois Railway Museum has received delivery of two bi-level cars, also known as gallery cars, originally from the Chicago & North Western (C&NW). These two cars are coaches that operated in commuter service out of Chicago for more than four decades.

Chicago and North Western F Unit #411 passes through a crossing protected by an operating "wig-wag" signal at the Illinois Railway Museum. Chicago & North Western 83 is a bi-level coach designed for commuter service out of Chicago. It is known as a “gallery car” because the upper level is divided, with a gap (or “gallery”) down the middle of the car to enable the conductor to collect fares from both levels while standing on the main or lower level.
