Looking over my notes it appears starting in 1984 Northwestern took in 72 ex Conrail SD45's. Some got repainted and others just patched.

C&NW had its "own" SD45's, 901-920 and 937-977, without dynamic brakes. (The intervening units were SD40's.) Later they bought about 100 former Conrail and BN SD45's with dynamics.
